    ziggy stardust remixed

ziggy_stardust_remixed snag these free tracks while they are still up- DJ BC and others have collaborated to bring this fresh revival to Bowie's Ziggy Stardust. there's two videos up there, one being some underground dance remix of Suffragette City (i dug the track, the visuals were somewhere between psychedelic, erotica, and hilarious). Others are more like mixes of two or three songs (dare i say mash-up) - some work and others may not, but people in general should like something off here. comes with a cool printable sleeve and nice art.

coachella 2009 tickets on sale now

For more widgets please visit www.yourminis.com

the wait is over. any of you who have gone to coachella have probably been waiting anxiously for this year's lineup to be announced and tickets to go on sale. today is your day!

some of the 2009 lineup bands that excite me are Atmosphere, Christopher Lawrence, Bajofondo, Groove Armada, Crystal Castles, The Crystal Method, Junior Boys, Felix da Housecat, Ghostland Observatory, Lupe Fiasco, M.A.N.D.Y., Public Enemy, Peanut Butter Wolf, Roni Size, People Under the Stairs, MSTRKRFT, Thievery Corporation, Throbbing Gristle, and TRAV$DJ-AM, and The Cure.

coachella is a music and arts festival that spans three days near wonderful palm springs, california, usa (near los angeles). it has over five main tents constantly giving performances, plus several other smaller areas for even more music, arts, and activities. last year featured some crazy art installments such as two real semi-trucks twisted and contorted into a twizzler around each other.

but it's really all about the music. coachella has snagged up great artists in the past such as Beck, The Chemical Brothers, Tool, Prince, Roger Waters, Justice, FatBoy Slim, Jack Johnson, Depeche Mode, Rage Against The Machine, The Beastie Boys, and much, much more. the festival has been going on (almost) annually since 1999 (the site was first tested by Pearl Jam in 1993) and has been gathering mass and more people every time. on-site camping is even available.
be sure to check out coachella.com for more info and tickets!

david byrne & brian eno collaboration

    from the site http://www.everythingthathappens.com/:

"Brian Eno and I recently finished our first collaboration in about 30 years. The name of the new record is Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. For the most part, Brian did the music and I wrote some tunes, words and sang. It's familiar but completely new as well. We're pretty excited.

The album is available exclusively from this Web site. You can stream all of the songs for free and purchase it in a variety of digital and physical formats, including a limited edition Deluxe Package designed by Sagmeister Inc. All formats can be downloaded immediately and physical CDs will be shipped in the Fall."
